Rogue had just been getting off of work and had decided to go out the back way. She was tired and just wanted to get home as fast as possible. It figured that she had to go buy new shoes and then work in them the next day, without breaking them in, all because she hadn't had time to look for her usual pair. But that was because her watch had suddenly decided it needed a new battery and died. What was wrong with her week? Did it hate her? Did she really need to have her feet hurt this much? Though, it was kind of amusing seeing as the thought of her poor feet barking reminded her of a little coffee shop conversation she had with Lotte a while back. Coming in and complaining about her feet. So, she pulled out her phone and decided to call Lotte and check up on her, figuring that the girl was working tonight and that maybe she was just running late. Sure, she would probably end up hearing more about this Josh guy, and as much as she didn't trust Haven, at least Lotte was happy.
But right as she walked out of Camelot, and Rogue was in the alley, she paused. As her phone rang, she could hear Lotte's ring-tone. Lotte was here but she hadn't seen her? Looking around, she had found Lotte's dance bag on the ground. Picking it up, it was smeared in red. Digging into it where she knew her phone would be, Rogue pulled it out of the pocket only to confirm with her own eyes that she saw her own name and number on the screen. Rogue didn't know what to think. This couldn't be happening. It couldn't. But that is when she saw something in her peripheral vision.
Turning her head to the right, what she saw made her drop both phones from her hands, as she fell onto her knees. It was the tattered, bloody remains of her friend. She felt like she had been kicked in the gut as all of the oxygen left her own lungs. Crawling over her, she had her gloves on but was unsure of where to touch, how or why. Her mind was a fog over how this could have happened. She had promised to look out for her. Promised to make sure that things like this didn't happen to her. What the hell was wrong with her and why wasn't she here? Why hadn't she been here instead of Lotte? What the hell could have done this to her?
Finally, some sense dawning in on her, she checked for a pulse, though it was obvious that she wasn't going to find one. Hearing the back door open and close again behind her, Rogue quickly turned to look back only to find Boom Boom hoping to take a smoke break. Rogue's face probably spoke volumes on it's own as Boom Boom was grumbling about something only to end up noticing Rogue there in the alley, hovering over something. Rogue quickly got to her feet and stepped in front of Lotte, ignoring Boom Boom's questions. "She's dead. She's dead. She's dead." Rogue started rambling as the voices in her own head started to become too much. Some calling out that she was next, others that it was her own fault, while very few actually tried to console her. It was chaos and she was having trouble listening let alone comprehending.
Putting her head in her hands, Rogue suddenly thought of Haven. They fixed her once. They should be able to do it again, right? Regardless of whether she has a pulse. Suddenly breaking free of her rambling, Rogue looked at Boom Boom and pointed back at Camelot. "Hurry! Go get me some plastic trash bags. I'm gonna see if I can't take her ta Haven. See if they can't fix her. They did it once before!" Even seeing the questioning look in Boom Boom's eyes, she called out, "Hurry!" Finally seeing the girl go, she turned back to Lotte, picked up their phones, shoved them into her pockets, and the dance bag and threw it over her shoulder, only to pull out a pen and paper to write down what she recalled of the address for Boom Boom. If anything, someone had to know where she was going, and she didn't trust those people. What if they did this to her? She didn't know. They were supposed to help her. Keep her safe. Lotte always acted like it was so much better. It was such a load of shit.
Once her friend made it back, she gave her the paper and quickly ripped some holes in the bags to throw them on top of her. She didn't know how long or how much of that poison she would be able to handle, but at least the girl had probably went down fighting. Rushing over to Lotte, Rogue told Boom Boom, "Ya should get back inside. Just in case whoever did this was still around. I'll be fine." At least she hoped. Doing her best to hold her gently but firmly, as if Lotte were still alive to feel it, she didn't want to accidentally break anything else, Rogue took off into the air. She couldn't care less if Boom Boom had seen her. She had to hurry. She didn't have time to call Josh ahead of time. She needed to get there as fast as possible. They had to save her. They had to fix her again.
She flew as fast as she could even though the poison still found it's way to seep into her clothes. She began to feel dizzy and weak, but continued to press on. Rogue was bound and determined to get Lotte to Haven and nothing was going to stop her, especially Lotte or herself. "You're not going to die on me," she whispered to her friend's body, even though that statement was pointless.
Not caring about their cameras or gates, Rogue did not care. She flew right passed them uncaring as to who came after her. She slowed her flight and let her feet only touch the ground a few feet from their front door. On wobbly feet, she cradled her friend in one arm, as she made it to the door and banged on it with her fist. Rogue wanted to break it open, but felt far too weak from the poison. Dropping to her knees, unwilling to let her go, but finding it difficult to hold onto her any longer, Rogue gently lowered Lotte onto the ground, right in front of the door.
Unable to look up, her head far too heavy, Rogue's breathing labored, she thought she heard the door open. "Help her. Help her, please."
