"I bet I gots a trick dat will impress you so much dat you'll gimmie a free drink, Chère." Remy beamed at the pretty, glove wearing bartender.
He had found a new base of operations just after the ferals had ripped the strip club apart, but it seemed he could not keep away from the place on busy nights. That night he had been involved in the reason why the place was a little busier than usual earlier that night, but Remy always tried to make an appearance at floating card games. This one had been sponsored and put together by some Russian mobster who fancied himself quite the card shark, which of course, he could not resist the prospect of showing-up somebody who imagined himself powerful at the card table. The games had been a great deal less interesting that he had hoped for, what with everyone packing heat and trying to appear hard, only the fella who he had come to beat pulled a gun on him once, and that was only because he had been a very sore loser. In the end Remy ended up several thousand dollars richer, and with the mobster's gold watch, but terribly, terribly bored.
His growing reputation was likely the reason why he had become bored so quickly. He had introduced himself as Gambit when he came in and that had started the whispers, several men even got up and left the table when he sat down. They had all heard of his skill with the cards, charged and not charged, and none of them thought to seriously challenge him because of it. So thanks to him the game ended early, most of the men had left, the mobster had been dragged out by one of his lieutenants which had amused Remy to no end, but with no one left to play with he decided to have a drink at the very least. Flirt a little more with Tabitha or Laura if he was lucky enough for them to be working that night.
The bartender had distracted him though, and instead of looking for the strippers he knew he decided to try and get a little more than just a drink out of her. "Come on, Chère." he smiled at her again, his glowing eyes fixed on her pretty face as he leaned against the bar, half empty glass of scotch beside him. "I be promisin' dat it will be amazin' an' astoundin'. Might even put a smile on your face."
