Re: OT all of Excalibur
"What's the bloody holdup!?" Pete asked nobody in particular. Poor Cyclops here, he surely was getting an arse over teakettle view of Excalibur at possibly its worst. Not something that inspired confidence, Pete was sure. But he had more pressing matters. Literally. As in putting pressure on Kurt's wound because the bloody elf was a veritable bloody buggery fountain of blood. "This bloody bint had better be worth it," he ground out through gritted teeth, but his anger was solely at himself, really. After encouraging Kurt to stay with him, he craned his neck to look outside the van for the nth time, and finally saw the second team moving out. Without the asset. Which they had reported as having in the pocket.
No time, no bloody buggery fucking time. We need to move, or Kurt's not going to make it, he didn't say. Instead, he barked into the comm with unusual wrath and vigor.
"I said we have a bloody man down! I just saw you through the exit, so if you're not in this van momentarily, you can bloody well find your own way back!" Easier said than done when he was holding on to Kurt and the only other person in the van who could conceivably drive was blind. But he was just trying to get the point across. Worst case scenario, he'd instruct Scott to keep pressure on Nightcrawler's wound while he drove. "Please, stay with me, lad," he told Kurt, all his anger bleached away by concern.
As soon as Jamie, Ruth and whoever that pale little fellow was had just run into Betsy's arms were in the van, he would order Jamie to drive off. If Betsy wanted to stay behind, she was a big girl, and knew how to take care of herself. His priority now was Kurt. Later on he would bash some heads together and find out how the asset had slipped through their fingers. Hopefully pale kid would be as useful as Cyclops potentially would be with those fiery red eye beams. Now if only Kurt would bloody well stay alive.
