Team 2: Jamie, Ruth, Betsy
At first Betsy just gave him a 'So?' look when he mentioned being dressed as a guard. It didn't take her long to catch up with his meaning though, and she nodded. "Right," she said, sounding a bit like her old self.
She moved into the room and peered into the darkness. She started to reach for a light switch but luckily stopped herself. "Hello?" she ventured. She reached out with her own psychic senses and didn't detect anyone else in the room besides the girl they were here for. She took a step closer, moving more confidently as her eyes adjusted to the darkness a little.
"I'm here to help you," she said in her normal British accent. Betsy was keeping her distance, backlit by the light streaming in from the hall. "My friends and I want to get you out of here but we have to move quickly. I'm Elisabeth," she added. "Can you tell me your name?" This time she resisted her first instinct which was to open up her mind and be more receptive of a telepathic response. If the girl answered her telepathically? She would definitely hear it. Half the county would probably hear it.
"Can you speak?" was probably the question she should have asked first, but she asked it right after.
