Team 2: Jamie, Ruth, Betsy
Blindfold let herself smile, just slightly, at the Jamies and their back and forth. Her sense of humor usually let her be at least amused by them, even if their humor was misplaced at times. Of course, she'd had more time to get used to Jamie than Betsy had. He was a bit of an acquired taste to be truthful. The elevator ride went by quickly enough for Ruth, who was not really a big fan anymore of being enclosed in metal.
Having a car fold around you as a child helped to start fears like those. Her most recent sojourn in a metal room with an electrified floor had done absolutely nothing to lessen that issue.
The door opened and Ruth moved, without prompting, aware there was no one in the direct vicinity of the elevator since she'd been passively scanning the area to ensure they would not be immediately detected. Betsy's reaching out telepathicly slipped across her own mental senses which were wide open. What she was not expecting, since the person had so recently been unconscious, was any kind of response. It was almost like being slapped in the face, the sudden "HERE!". Ruth snapped her own shields up and brought one hand to her face. Oh that was going to give her a headache. Note to self: do not leave all shields down whilst looking for a telepath capable of waking every sensitive in the state.
After the momentary disorientation, Ruth picked up the key card they were going to need to get into the ward from that direction and tossed it in the direction of Betsy and the dupes. "That'll take care of the door. Go get her." Ruth herself made no attempt to get any closer to the door leading into the locked ward. "Doctor Madrox, I'm gonna need to borrow you for a moment. There's a nurse coming I need you to help me lie to."
All very calm, despite the feeling that she wanted a good heavy shot of morphine for the pain of her brain feeling two sizes too large for her skull.
A few seconds later, she moved away from the edge of the desk, waving at the others to hurry up. "Ten seconds." The sound of footsteps increased coming from the other side of the nurses' station.
