"Of course," Lorna said emphatically. She'd had a moment of uncertainty when Alex touched her hair, since he'd never done that before, but she made herself relax and pat his back. She worried her bottom lip, reminding herself that he probably wasn't thinking and that there was no harm in it, anyway. She also reminded herself that grief made people do stupid things and Alex was her friend. Friend as in don't think about how nice and warm it feels to be pressed against him like thist. The man was a furnace, she decided. Probably something to do with his power set, or something.
She let Alex lead the way. Lorna herself was ready to get far from the mill of people. She had never been entirely comfortable in crowds.
