Alice, Claire, Chris, Avengers, Jane & Pepper

Natasha fired at approaching aliens, taking them down with each shot. Missing was not an option in their current situation. They were greatly outnumbered. Luckily Loki's newest minions were neither especially strong nor hard to kill. Still, there were a lot of them and they were armed to the teeth.

As she ran out of bullets Natasha threw her guns at the closest enemies and started to fight hand to hand while trying to ignore the Hulk's deafening roars and the lightning strikes Thor summoned. Then, all of a sudden the ground started to shake violently. Within seconds cracks appeared beneath them, getting wider and wider.

Cursing Natasha hopped from one piece of steady looking earth to the next, trying to get away from the gaps. Then the lightning, thunder and roaring suddenly stopped. She looked around surprised, but couldn't see the Hulk or Thor anywhere. What the hell? Had they fallen into a gap in the ground, like several of the aliens did? But none were big enough for the Hulk, where they? And Thor could fly! In her surprise and worry Natasha almost didn't notice a knife flying towards her. She jumped out of the way in the last second, but it graced her shoulder. Wincing she hit the ground hard, then quickly scrambled away, when she felt cracks beneath her.

"We have to get out of here," Steve called.

"Not without Jane," Natasha called. She had no idea what happened to Thor, but he was basically a god, so he'd be back. She wasn't going to tell him they left his girlfriend with Loki! Besides, she kind of liked the other woman, not that she'd admit that. She didn't really have girlfriends. She got along way better with men.

"I wasn't suggesting we leave without her," Steve said before throwing his shield towards Loki, who had his back to them and was dragging Jane with him. The shield hit it's target in the head, making him lose his grip on Jane and stumbling a few steps away from her. Furious Loki spun around, glaring at Steve. Then he suddenly disappeared.

Steve was still staring at the empty spot where Thor's half-brother had been a second ago, when the ground under his own feet started to give in. He quickly jumped as far as he could, but the ground wasn't any steadier where he landed. His arms flailing he started to fall.
