Jo & Eliot [11 Jul 2013|02:36am]

huntingjo
Jo sat down on a bar stool, repressed a wince and ordered herself a drink. She really needed one. That ghost had knocked her around pretty good. Hunting was so much easier when you had a partner. But her mother was off with Bobby on their honeymoon. Jo still could hardly believe hat the two of them finally managed to get their act together and get married. It was nice though. Jo had always liked the older hunter and he made her mother happy. Still, hunting by yourself sucked and was a lot more dangerous. Maybe she should call Sam and Dean, team up with them for a while? But they always treated her like a little kid, which she hated. She could take care of herself, thank you very much.

When her drink appeared Jo downed it in one and motioned for another one. The bartender raised an eyebrow at her, but a glare from her silenced any comment he might have made and got him to refill her glas dutyfully. Jo smirked. Then the whole room started to shake. Before long glas shattered, people screamed and ran around in a panic. Jo held on to the bar and waited it out. A little earthquake wasn't going to shake her. At least that was what she thought until the walls started to crack and half of the room suddenly looked very different than it had a moment before.

"What the hell?" Jo muttered looking around. She had seen a lot in her life, but a building suddenly changing? And it hadn't just changed, it looked like it had been ripped apart and meshed together witha different one afterwards. The walls weren't lining up right either. She should get out of there as quickly as possible, in case this mess was unstable. It wouldn't do to be burried under a collapsing building before she could find out what the hell was going on.

Alice, Claire, Chris, Avengers, Jane & Pepper [11 Jul 2013|11:10pm]

Natasha fired at approaching aliens, taking them down with each shot. Missing was not an option in their current situation. They were greatly outnumbered. Luckily Loki's newest minions were neither especially strong nor hard to kill. Still, there were a lot of them and they were armed to the teeth.

As she ran out of bullets Natasha threw her guns at the closest enemies and started to fight hand to hand while trying to ignore the Hulk's deafening roars and the lightning strikes Thor summoned. Then, all of a sudden the ground started to shake violently. Within seconds cracks appeared beneath them, getting wider and wider.

Cursing Natasha hopped from one piece of steady looking earth to the next, trying to get away from the gaps. Then the lightning, thunder and roaring suddenly stopped. She looked around surprised, but couldn't see the Hulk or Thor anywhere. What the hell? Had they fallen into a gap in the ground, like several of the aliens did? But none were big enough for the Hulk, where they? And Thor could fly! In her surprise and worry Natasha almost didn't notice a knife flying towards her. She jumped out of the way in the last second, but it graced her shoulder. Wincing she hit the ground hard, then quickly scrambled away, when she felt cracks beneath her.

"We have to get out of here," Steve called.

"Not without Jane," Natasha called. She had no idea what happened to Thor, but he was basically a god, so he'd be back. She wasn't going to tell him they left his girlfriend with Loki! Besides, she kind of liked the other woman, not that she'd admit that. She didn't really have girlfriends. She got along way better with men.

"I wasn't suggesting we leave without her," Steve said before throwing his shield towards Loki, who had his back to them and was dragging Jane with him. The shield hit it's target in the head, making him lose his grip on Jane and stumbling a few steps away from her. Furious Loki spun around, glaring at Steve. Then he suddenly disappeared.

Steve was still staring at the empty spot where Thor's half-brother had been a second ago, when the ground under his own feet started to give in. He quickly jumped as far as he could, but the ground wasn't any steadier where he landed. His arms flailing he started to fall.

Alaric, Allison, Caroline, Damon, Elena, Eric, Heaven, Jake, Jeremy, Rebekah, Stefan & vamp!Willow [10 Jul 2013|04:19am]

Caroline had no idea what the hell was going on. An earthquake, okay, fine, she could deal with that. She had been through a whole lot worse in her life. Not that she was actually alive, mind you, she was a vampire, but that was besides the point right now. This was not a normal earthquake. If the huge cracks in the ground and disappearing people hadn't been a big enough clue already, half of the university building suddenly changing color and standing a few feet further to the right would have definitely cued her in that something supernatural was going on.

Caroline slightly shook her head and shrieked in frustration. She had just started to get used to having an almost normal life, and now this! Was it too much to ask that nothing weird happened and ruined her college experience? High School had already been one disaster after the other. She deserved some peace and quiet, didn't she? They all did after everything that happened!

Sighing she tried to stay on her feet and unsteadily made her way towards the dorm to go check if her best friend Elena was alright. Not that Caroline was worried about her getting injured in the earthquake. Elena was a vampire, too, and pretty tough, but people had disappeared right in front of her eyes, so this was serious!

"Elena," she called opening the door to the common room of their apartment. However, before she had a chance to enter she heard someone shouting her name and turned around. A frown appeared on her face as she noticed who it was.

"Rebekah?! Should have known that one of you had something to do with this!"

Catherine, Laurel Lissa, Rose, Christian, Dimitri, Oliver & Vincent [09 Jul 2013|09:38pm]

"Oh come on, Rose, calm down. This'll be fun, I promise," Lissa assured her best friend as their car sped along the road, away from court. She took a deep breath and smiled happily. This was what she had needed, an evening with just her friends. No entourage of guardians, advisors or vampire royalty, who believed themselves to be way too important. She just wanted to be Lissa for a while, not the queen. Not that she ever wanted to be queen in the first place. She still could hardly believe that she had been elected in the first place. That didn't mean that she took her responsibilities lightly. She owed it to her people not to. But once in a while she needed a time out. She just wanted a normal evening, like any other teenager her age. A couples movie night with her boyfriend, best friend and her boyfriend surely wasn't too much to ask for, was it?

"We're just going to the cinema and have a drink afterwards. No one will even miss us until we're back." She had pretended to be tired and retired early. Her guardians were under strict orders not to disturb her and on the way out of court she had used spirit to mask their appearances. Nobody knew that she snuck out and would be looking for her in the human town they were heading to.

Dimitri snorted silently, but didn't say anything. Instead he kept his eyes firmly on the road and their surroundings, making sure that nothing looked suspicious. He wasn't happy with Lissa's plan to go out on their own, but she was the queen, and got what she wanted. That they would have fun was a little unrealistic though. Being guardians, he knew that he and Rose would both be on high alert the entire evening. Having fun was so far down their list of priorities right now that it was kind of laughable. Not that he was going to mention that to his queen, especially after everythings he did for him and Rose. She wanted an evening of feeling normal, so he would do everying in his power to give her that. He just hoped things would go as planned and nobody would even realize that this was the perfect opportunity to try and take out the queen.

Ginny, Hermione, Percy & Sirius [09 Jul 2013|02:10am]

percy_jackson
He really should have known that an earthquake was never just an earthquake when he was concerned. He was Percy Jackson after all. Yes, the past months had been relatively silent. He had only had a near-death appearance like once a month, but still, to believe that an earthquake was just a natural shaking of the ground had been stupid. The mere thought probably alerted every monster in a 100 mile radius just to prove him wrong. At least that was what it felt like when the shaking had barely stopped and a horde of slimy green creatures came rushing at him. Annabeth probably would have called it karma and told him that the weeds in his brain were making him really stupid or something. But Annabeth was no longer here. That he still thought about what she would say in almost every situation of his life was probably pathetic, but it was all he had left, now that he was on his own.

Pulling Riptide out of his pocket, he uncapped the pen, feeling the familar weight of his sword appear in his hand. It calmed him, made him almost feel relaxed. Maybe a fight was exactly what he needed. He had been pretty bored anyway, and boredom led to unwanted thoughts about his past and his dead girlfriend. There was no better distraction than killing a few monsters, was there? Plus, better they attacked him than an untrained young demigod, right?

With an expert swing he prought Riptide down on the first monster that was stupid enough to attack him, then smiled as he severed it's head and sent it back to Tartarus, where it belonged.
