Re: Rebekah & Eric
Rebekah's mind was still reeling from her weird encounter with Elena and Caroline. They really seemed to believe that they weren't friends and that Alaric was supposed to be dead. Not that their lives weren't strange on a regular basis. Actually, Rebekah barely remembered what a normal life was like. But this was even stranger than usual. It had to be some kind of spell, didn't it? Well, Alaric was going to sort it out and call her as soon as there were any news or anything she could do to help. In the meantime, it was probably best for her not to be around Elena and Caroline, before any of them said something they'd regret later.
Walking through the part of campus that was closest to the dorm, Rebekah took in the destruction around her. It was awful. Parts of buildings had collapsed, there were cracks in the ground, trees had fallen over and people were still running around hysterical. A lot of them were injured. She could smell their blood. She tried to ignore it, but it was getting harder. Maybe she should find someone to feed on, someone uninjured, who had enough blood left.
However, before she had a chance to look for a blood donor, something strange caught her attention. The ground suddenly changed. The walkway she was on stopped. It looked like it had been ripped off and a meadow replaced what was missing. Weird! She looked around, paying more attention this time. There were several spots like this, scenery suddenly changing and being different from what she remembered from yesterday. This was way bigger than just someone having altered memories. Unfortunately she had no idea what could have caused it. She had never seen anything like it, and she had been around for a long time!
Frowning, she decided to go back to the dorm after all. They had to figure this out, before it had a chance to get worse. In her experience, things always got worse unless they stopped them.
Starting to walk, Rebekah's gaze fell on a man. He had his back to her, but he seemed familiar. He was tall and had blond hair. She had no idea, who he might be, but something about him caught her eye. Did they have classes together? Without even realizing it, she changed direction and walked towards him, then he turned around and she froze. No, it couldn't be! And it wasn't just that she wasn't in the mood to ever see this particular ex-boyfriend of hers ever again, he should be dead. He had lived over a thousand years ago, so he had to be dead, didn't he? No, no matter how familiar this man looked, he could not be Eric!
