Showing up outside the gates to the Dog Park, Dan had been lucky that someone found him so quickly. Hurriedly ushered away from the area, mentally Dan had not caught up to what was happening until the person had sat him down and offered a 'free cup of coffee with every new arrival.' Psychically he had been bombarded with warnings forcing him to lockdown momentarily just to be able to think straight.
Directed to pick a room at the resort, he had not been in town for more than twelve hours before he was sitting in an uncomfortable apartment before he decided he needed to go out and explore his new surroundings. His life had really become moments of 'What would Abra do?' The girl had inspired him to open back up and to take action where he would have run and hid. Running and Hiding was far more natural in his life, but helping her had allowed her to live more openly and without the fear he had battled for so long.
Heading out his door at the exact moment, Dan stopped seconds from running into Adrienne. His hands were out to make sure she would not actually hit him. "Sorry," he immediately apologized as if it was anyone's fault. A knocking in his mind pushed him to focus on the woman. "I'm your new neighbor."
