Just pretend this was posted earlier in the day. *coughs*
Propped up against the vase is an envelope with "To: Dad, our only and only special mother" written in Xander's handwriting. In front of that is a box that contains a framed 8x10 photo
Inside the envelope is a letter, written in Xander's handwriting. It reads:
"Dear Dad,
Alessa and I realize that it's a little unorthodox to give you a Mother's Day, being that you're a guy and all, but seeing as how you are our mother thanks to shapeshifting, it makes sense.
We mostly just wanted to tell you how much we love you, Dad, and thank you for all the things that you've done for us over the years: the tears you've wiped away, the scraped knees and bruised elbows you've kissed to make all better, the runny noses you've wiped, the diapers you changed (even if we can't remember it), the countless hours you spent awake with us at night when we couldn't sleep or we'd woken up from a nightmare, the plays and performances that you sat through, smiling proudly even when we sang off-key. There's tons of more moments that we could thank you for, Dad, the list goes on and on. Neither of us would be here today if it weren't for you, and we're eternally grateful for that.
We love you so much, Dad."
It's signed "Xander" in his handwriting and at the bottom is "Lessa" in her handwriting
