I am not fond of angels. Why do the people in various eras fixate upon them? There are figurines and "guardian angels". I don't understand this nor do I want to. An angel never guards a human unless it has something to gain out of them. Humans are, for the most part, better off on their own.

Perhaps the same logic applies to goddesses?

Am I being profane now?

As an angel I disagree 100%.

I'm just speaking from the professional point of view, I have nothing to gain from a mortal. They get old and die and then they have nothing anyway. I don't age, I don't die. I do my job, which happens to be killing them. But the old Lady has asked me to do a few guard jobs in my day. I've been pretty tight with some Guards, one of them owes me a Vietnamese prostitute.

I will not get old, but I will die. My soul is not for an angel to keep nor is it suitable for Heaven's gates. Surely you can see where my dislike of angels lie? They continue to hound me, desiring for my soul to "cleanse" itself. I won't let them win that battle.

Well, now that expressed your feelings about good angels, what about the ones that fell with Lucifer? What do you think about demons?

You can be as profane as you like. We do have freedom of speech in this country, after all..

I don't have a problem with demons. In fact, I prefer them. At least their desires are open to see.

Not profane, C.K., I agree wholeheartedly. We are better left without the angelic meddling.

You're now allowed to interject an opinion. You have a Perpetual stick up your ass over that Kendall thing.

Which is ironic as all get out.

I am allowed to interject until God says otherwise, and as you are not the Mouthpiece of God, I think your opinion doesn't count on the matter.

And I have every right to be pissed off over the Kendall thing, you broke my wand! For a wizard that's like destorying part of his soul.

Bye bye little piece of my soul.

Holding grudges is my schtick, so bugger off and stop meddling in my life.

Jeez, Sev. All you had to say was "Hey fucktard, unbreak my wand" And I woulda done it, no need for replacements.

You do realize it's been like, six months right? There's NOTHING I can do to make that up to you?

You do realize I'm Snape right, and I've been known to carry grudges for years?

Though, the offer is touching. Perhaps an agreement for no future meddling and we call it even.

Now I'm going to pout.

And all that we meddlers do cannot be, statistically, that bad. If we err it's because Human minds fashioned us in such images so that they could better communicate with us.

We tried the do-not-intervene thing and all the children turned around and slashed each other's throats for the barest amount of food. No grace no guidance no inspiration to be noble.

In other words: You're screwed with us and screwed without us.

I have met angels and demons alike. I have not fashioned them in my own mind.

With demons, I may well be "screwed", but at least I know what my hatred has bought me.

Oh no Dove, I'm not saying you're hallucinating, sorry. No, I meant the universal consciousness shapes our presentations in this plane. (Really who would believe a male personality for the patron of child-birth?) And to have a existence capable of improvement, one needs something to improve, so we too must be flawed to achieve Nirvana.

Hatred, a three bladed sword. How painful it must have been.

Dove?

I'm not certain what all of that means, but I don't think relying on anything or anyone that wants to turn you into something you are not is right or healthy.

My hatred runs deep.

Slip of the tongue. Your Eminence was the proper reference during the Renaissance, does it still hold?

Apologies, was trying to elaborate the mechanics of how we meddlers are seen by others. I seemed to ave only made it muddier.

Would attempting to balm the offense only anger you more?

The human animal is a beautiful and terrible creature, capable of limitless compassion and unfathomable cruelty. If you wish to find that which becomes the dividing line between mankind and other biological classifications, it rests not in brain size, dominance, or even emotional capability, but lies in the unique capacity for human beings to reflect on their actions and show regret, what is most certainly the ability to empathize, that gives them their position. All animals understand love and affection, but only man shows the propensity to place himself into the shoes of another lifeform. Losing this capability, among individuals of this species, reduces them below their much heralded position, and readies the climate for the likely fall of man, the fall from grace.

My choices command my responsibilities and I don't care to think about your latter statement. What does it matter if my actions look different from some other angle or another universe?

'Judge not lest ye be judge. He who has no sin cast the first stone.'

Perhaps the focal of the statement was the eternally endentured and contemned castes and not the complillen Child who adjudicates.

Mother of All, if we made their decisions for them, they would never grow. He refers to Aspects of Good and Ill Will that balance and influence the children nowadays. A system about hmmmm 3 millienia old?

Because people need hope, love and guidance. Because we were born as flawed creatures, made ready for change, for love, for heartbreak. Life was designed to be a roller coaster ride between the good and bad, to learn lessons, to learn to have compassion.

I do not beleive in angels or demons. I do beleive in good and bad, evil and morally gray, people are fluid, they can be have a smattering of all three within themselves, and a terrible, atrocious incident that they have performed can eventually bring them back to the redeemed, by being put in prison, facing themselves. Then there can be the everyman, who is always good, right, just and one little thing can tip their scales, force their hand or switch them to the path of the unjust. We need all manner of people, we need faith, hope in order to grow and evolve. Life is an ever swinging pendulum, life always seems to sway us one way, and not before long it begins to sway toward the other.

We we're given a gift, a life and a planet to look after. Sometimes we have done amazing feats with those two things, and other times we have desecrated them, ripped them asunder, crushed them under our boot heel. It is nature, it is chaos, and because of chaos, both must be personified, good and evil.

Some people personify the good as Angels, who are virtuous and stalwart, a force to be reckoned with. Demons can be worshiped too, since evil is more centered upon the self, there are always struggles with inner demons, or something that is at its core diabolical that people worship, aim to achieve, aim to take.

I think people beleive in them not because they are always necessarily real, but they need a beacon to believe in, to model themselves on. Who is to say which is right, or more correct? I cannot, but if it gets a person through the day, on either side of the fence, the belief alone if sound enough.

I hope that makes sense, it made sense to me, anyway.

Perhaps the reason you do not believe in angels and demons is because you have never seen them? I, however, have.

And how can you say that angels are good and demons are bad? I believe it is the other way around. I will not falter in my goals to achieve revenge. I will not cleanse myself of my hatred. My soul may be doomed, but at least I had the courage to pull those who tested me into darkness as well.

May be I should have phrased it different? I am not stating they do or do not exist. My perspective is more from people who do beleive in them, angels and demons.

I beleive in neither, not to say they do not exist, I just do not beleive in them as a basis of faith. My comments are from what people have expressed to me about their faith. Both Christians and Satanists. I do not beleive in labels, period. I do beleive in good, evil and the in between. I beleive in chaos and order, science and faith.
