	Ah, but since it was pride and temper that got me, I wouldn't let you. Yes, I am eating up right now so I can go into a healing trance to take care of most of the damage. She let me live. Loving she is, but shaking things up is beneficial too. After all the Old Republic was bogged down with red tape and committees and not helping the people anymore.

I have been getting soft in this quiet world and probably too sure of myself. Perhaps it was a test to see if I could hold my temper when aggravated? I could have killed him, but never attempted. I'll ponder the whys.

Is done and all are alive.

Why fight in the first place? What we are taught, at least what Uncle Luke drilled into our heads at the Academy, is that your lightsaber is your last option. A Jedi does not welcome a fight. We are peacekeepers, not the long sword of the New Republic. And I'm...angry with you for endangering your life for the sake of a 'test' to see if you could still fight. If it's training and sharpening of skills you want, then I volunteer to work with you everyday if it's nessecary. Your life is far to valuable ~~to me~~ to...play with.

This wasn't a fight that could be quelled peaceably. My opponent... If I was once dark because of hate and pain, he was dark because that was his nature. He hated because he could, it poisoned the very air. There was nothing good of him, even his brilliance was warped.

He also threatened one close to me. It's always been my weakness.
Be angry at me. It was petty of me and childish, I know what I need to work on.

I might have been redeemed by Luke at the end, but I see the Force as a gradient, not black and white like the Jedi do. You know I cannot take the Master status, I know I am nowhere near that level of understanding. And I am open to train, anytime! But would you really come at me to strike me down? Do you think I could actually push you to your limits as a Jedi? These bonds strengthen us, but make us soft as well.

I do see the point of your fight, now. I doubt I could contain myself either, if someone were to thereaten the life of someone close to me. This is also the reason why I'm upset with you, Grand-Ani. You threatened your own life.

The Jedi of the New Republic,during a great war with an alien race, discovered a balance, if you will, in the Force. There is no dark, there is no light. There is only the Force. Uncle Luke could throw Force lightning, he could cloak entire ships. I learned how to Force-walk through time, seeing things as they happened. It's there that I first saw you, at the Jedi temple during the execution of Order 66. Naki thought of the Force as a thing from which to gain power. I was always on a quest for more knowledge, from the living Force.

I don't want to come at you to strike you down. I simply want to keep the skills that I have sharp. There is only one in the Skywalker-Solo family who is Jedi enough to strike down a loved one, and it is not me.

Petit... I will happily lay down my life to keep y'all out of danger. This is my second time around, I know what is worth living and dying for, and maybe it's an attempt to erase old wrongs. But that won't make you feel any better, huh?

And you all are correct. To master the Force is to be it's servant and to understand opens you to new potentials. To know one side of the spectrum is to comprehend the other as well, or there is no balance. And all things have a price.

And I wouldn't try to press you to de hard topics. If sharpening is what you want, I'll Cheerfully toss you in de bayou and give you a workout until you can't lift your finger t'scratch your nose.

You've always been more in touch with the living part of the Force and the connections grown from touching others. As for striking down a loved one...

As I recall it wasn't because of something like leaving an empty milk carton in the cooler. I would have to assume that there was a grander design that we were led to. Look what the Force sent me to do, all that suffering and hardship, for a better system to be born.

Sometimes, chalking it up to 'the Force has a plan and while I don't get it, I will do my part' is the only logic you can use.

But until she does it here, don't hold it against. Just accept the lessons and keep walking.
