okay so i'm finally getting around to throwing one of these bad boys up. this is zillah burke, 28 years old and slytherin alumni. i had her here way back when the comm first opened, but she's been re-worked quite a bit. she's still cousins to ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) evelynt, elliotto, and telias though. her parents are old af, her mother was in her late forties when zillah was born and most people believe she was conceived either by magic or an affair. she's an only child for now, but i've been playing with the idea of giving her an older brother, incase anyone wants to bring him in.
anyway, her father, titus burke, is in the wizengamot, getting set to retire at the end of the year, and her mother, demetra burke, is a socialite. their family is well known in the wizarding world, but what isn't well known is their ultra purist ways. other members of the wizengamot have suspected titus of purist leanings, but he's always managed to cover it up somehow. however, both of her parents despise muggles and muggleborns. zillah was raised with that type of hateful rhetoric spoken at the dinner table. her father would complain about this muggleborn or that muggleborn, declaring them incompetent and unfit to perform magic. they sided with voldemort early on but stay completely out of the limelight, never attending meetings. so instead they send zillah.
during school zillah was the type to go along with the crowd for the sake of fitting in. she was quiet and bookish for a slytherin, so she had to back it up with sass and a silver tongue. she excelled at charms, which is how she ended up as a obliviator after hogwarts. she's been with allistaire since she was a teenager but only recently have they decided to get married, having put it off for so long to rebel against their insistent parents.
for lines i'm hoping we can get some kind of mini de rebellion going on. i know it seems a little far-fetched and hard to accomplish, since it would be hard for them to trust one a other, but i have ideas! since zillah's cousin is an auror (yes i'm volunteering you elliotto if you want!) maybe she could go to him with her concerns and maybe one of the others could, as well? or he could catch one of them in the action somehow but instead of arresting him or her he helps them? then we could start a small group which could help the oop at great and personal risk(?)
but she needs other lines, too! people she went to school with, people who know her awesome extended family, friends, foes, frenemies, maybe an ex from before she finally settled down. anything, really!
