hi everybody! i come to you to request lines from one and all. so this is alice longbottom. she is an avery by blood, so pureblooded and from a family full of des/de supporters. she grew up with that part of society, though she was always the cute but odd little girl asking but why when people talked about the superiority of being pureblooded. in school she was sorted into gryffindor, and once again her family laughed uncomfortably and stated it was some kind of "phase." by the time she graduated and applied for auror training, they were more than happy to let people think she was a cousin. she's not blasted off the family tree quite yet, but she's definitely the white sheep.
at the moment, she and frank (who should be coming along shortly!) are more allies to the order than full-fledged members. for her part, alice is worried about what becoming a vigilante auror would mean, and there's also a large part of her that still cares for the pureblooded family and friends it would really pit her against. instead, she's trying to at least appear neutral and is definitely a welcoming friend to anyone on the dark side questioning their choices. they're positioned just right that both sides could potentially hope to recruit them, and i'm pretty sure we figured their first defiance of voldemort would be turning down his invitation, so hopefully that will be coming up!
line wise, i think we figured out that she and ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) rbastian dated at hogwarts before she ultimately dumped him for frank, and he may be trying to sway her to the dark side, she's friends with lilyae and is helping out with the dueling club, and she's close with elliotto, who is kind of helping her see that being a vigilante auror isn't so bad. that means i need something with the rest of you!
