hi everyone (and happy thanksgiving Americans - soz, i still don't get how you could have two full turkey dinners in two months!)
newbie around these parts bringing you elliot tourret. basically elliot here is from a pureblood family (his mother is a Burke) the same pureblood family as ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) evelynt - obviously as she is his twin sister. after graduating from Hogwarts (Ravenclaw for lyf) he bummed about a bit living the socialite life for a while. the more he got to know (and dislike) his associates in those circles and the more he heard of murmers of goings on and involvement with the death eaters and voldemort the more he pulled away, he began to strike up clandestine friendships with neutrals and some order affiliated/leaning people. when he was 21 he enrolled in the auror training programme. initially his mother was pleased as it could spell having someone on the 'inside' working for their cause but about a year and a half in when it became clear to everyone that elliot would not be giving any special perks or leniency to his mother's friends/people in the DE circles - he was ostracised from the family and the 'pureblood' community. this also cost him his engagement to ktnott.
in all he is something of a blood traitor - or certainly will become one over the course of the game.
he is a scholarly type who believes strongly in social justice and is just trying to repair some of the damage his mental family and their pals have done over the years.
he needs all sort of connections including people who hate him for his betrayal of the DE/pureblood community, DEs/purebloods who still think they can sway him back to their side (by whatever means), friends, drinking buddies, work mates, and possibly a lovely mixed blood/muggle born girl who he had a huge crush on at Hogwarts and felt a conflicted sense of pureblood guilt over.
