All of the residents had to do a bit of adapting; such was the benchmark of survivors. And wasn't that something they all had in common? Despite the differences in opinion of what to do and how to approach it all this group of people were determined to survive against the odds. Rosalind never once thought that she would be detecting electromagnetic fields near an area of supposed supernatural occurrences. It was absurd to both scientists, but she wondered if it was truly out of Killian's element. He was familiar with magic, and the paranormal, much more so than either Robert and Rosalind combined. For all their knowledge they found one area in which they were lacking.
And hook was disarming in every way. Poor Rosalind was so unfamiliar with such flirtatious comments and actions that the most she could muster was a shy smile, and a nod. "Thank you," she added, though she felt preposterous in her attire. This was not how a distinguished physicist should dress in the slightest.
"Everything is packed," Robert answered to Killian as he slung his bag over his shoulder. He carried the poker in his hand, and handed the shovel to Rosalind. She glanced at it warily, but took hold of it. The twins were not concerned with the danger that fellow residents had mentioned. They were both of the mind that everything could be explained logically... scientifically. If they were to be approached by one of the so-called crazy inhabitants of the hospital then Rosalind had every intention of rationalizing with it.
Robert moved to the door with the map that had been provided for them when they first arrived. He had marked where the hospital was, and realized that it was a straight shot from where their shop was located in Sonheim Square. Robert lead them outside of their shop, and Rosalind locked it behind them. She handed each person in their group the handheld EMF detector. It had a handy strap on it so that the person could wear it like a watch without having to hold it.
"The light should glow brighter the closer we approach an area of high electromagnetic frequency, or, as those in town would have us believe, if a supernatural presence gets closer to us. It will help to keep us alert."
She looked to her companions and nodded. "We're off, then," she said, and moved past both men and headed toward the hospital. Rosalind Lutece would be damned if she would let a little thing like fear stop her. In fact, there was very little she feared. She was excited for this, and ready to get started.
