A tension eased from Rosalind when Killian agreed. It would not have done anyone any good if the pirate got himself killed in the process of bringing back her twin; that is, of course, if Robert had not already done that to himself. She was worried, but logic overtook the emotion and she knew which action was the best to ensure a higher survival rate, and that was not going back to the hospital.
"We should get back to the lab," she said to the injured man.
"Yes, we should," said Robert's voice from a few meters behind them. He had managed to hobble his way back toward their lab through Sonheim Square. He assumed that his sister and Killian would have been there already, and he was somewhat surprised to see them in the middle of the street. Rosalind's reaction was what he expected - she took the route that ensured survivability, and he knew he would have done the same were the tables turned.
"Robert," Rosalind said in an eerily calm voice. "What took you?"
The taller man let out a sigh. "I captured more energy for the device so that we may use it in the future."
There was a pleased look on Rosalind's face, and she nodded. "Quite brilliant. Well, glad you made it back." She tried to smile at her brother but she knew he would understand how awkward it was to smile at one's self. "We really need to hurry back, Robert. Killian's lost a good measure of blood."
She was pressing a handkerchief against the wound, and began to lead the man toward their residence. "We have proper dressings at the lab."
