Oh, can't you see Who: Peeta and Santana When: Wednesday, 7/23, just before sundown. Where: in town, near Hell's Kitchen What: Peeta and Santana run into a friend on the walk home. Warnings: Santana's mouth; character death
Santana was pretty sure that she was going to die.
For all that people liked to assume that she was a stupid, loud-mouthed teenager, she wasn't an idiot. Nowhere near it, really. And, come on - she made it her business to know everybody else's business, that couldn't happen if she didn't know how to connect a few dots.
Which was why she knew that this particular murderous pop culture rip off? Was the Slenderman.
Girlchang, though dressing a lot less like a freak and occupied most of the time with what Santana had to assume was licking Mike's abs, was still into the creepy weirdo stuff. But (and Santana would even admit it because it wasn't like she was talking about Toucan Berry or anything), despite her oddness, Tina was actually pretty cool. So cool that she'd actually listened when Tina said that Marble Hornets was really good. So cool, that when she'd heard that Santana was a little bit addicted, she'd kept it to herself, even as she linked her to Creepypasta.
Now, Santana was going to die, and she kind of wanted to punch Tina in the face.
She knew the lore. Her figuring it out meant that she believed in him, and her believing in him basically meant she was as good as dead. And so, yeah. She was scared shitless.
Two hours after she'd made the post on the network to try and save a bunch of idiots that clearly didn't want it, she walked straight to the sheriffs station and planted her ass on the lobby. She knew that didn't mean that she was safe, but she felt better being around people that might actually help her if given the choice.
Now, though? There was almost nobody actually at the station, and she was beginning to think that she was just fooling herself by thinking that being here would protect her. Not to mention that being around people when she knew that he was coming meant that she was putting other people in danger. She was a bitch, but she wasn't actually homicidal.
So, she left, deciding that if she was going to die alone, she might as well do it in the comfort of her hotel room.
And okay, if she ran straight into some dude coming out of the back door to he local restaurant, she could be cut some slack, right? She had every right to be distracted.
