"I suppose we will," Sawyer conceded, staring at her lovely, quiet countenance for a moment before continuing. "But ain't no use getting riled up over things that haven't happened yet. Especially in a place where logic and general common sense hold little to no value. You think you know how to deal with what's at hand and this place throws you a curveball. Though I do feel a bit safer knowing you've got your peepers open for solutions."
Sawyer started perusing the titles on the shelf she was at, partly because he wanted to see if there were anything titles worth giving a look over but mostly because he knew Elizabeth was worth several, thorough, lingering look over's.
"So you've been here for awhile then, I take it," Sawyer ventured, trailing a finger of the spines of the volumes on the shelf. "If there wasn't likely to be boogeymen out and about on Friday, what might a fine, upstanding woman as yourself find herself up to? Trouble, I hope."
