Now you know I am your pride WHO: Booker & Elizabeth WHERE: Nocturne Hall Hospital/Asylum WHEN: May 20th, mid-day WHAT: Elizabeth likes play aid to the needy and wants to bring everyone medicine. Booker comes to make sure she doesn't die. WARNINGS: Cursing & Violence
It wasn't so much that Booker had a cold heart and didn't want to help those who needed it. He'd fought in the war when he was only seventeen for godsakes, for freedom and all that crap. Had his entire way of life tainted by horrible memories and still thought only of equality of the people and minding his own goddamned business. It was just that he had enough of his own problems without trying to worry so much about every Tom, Dick, and Harry that was also suffering.
Elizabeth was still young and exceptionally more understanding, unarguably more compassionate than he was, whereas that sort of emotion was reserved solely for those more close to him. The only person who held such a title as that right now was her.
Seeing as he wasn't about to just let her waltz right into what only everyone on the network described as the place to not venture into, he saddled up as he would for any other trip. Only this time he'd have to conserve ammo more carefully, his Vigors as a last resort. To be sure he'd drank all the free coffee the hotel had provided and hoped that'd be enough for the salts in his system. He only took his pistol--concealing it inside one of the holsters of his vest before hiding the the shotgun between the bed and the mattress, and set off down the eerie street to meet Elizabeth on her errand.
When he arrived before the Hospital slash looney bin Booker's stomach somersaulted. He could practically smell the danger emanating from the building and half expected his nose to start bleeding as an indication he'd already walked into such a dark place. Unsurprising.
"This better be quick." He huffed as he waited, folding his arms and holding eye contact with the sign above the door, as if eyeing down the place as his opponent. Because in actuality, he knew it was.
