In light of recent news which I had hoped would not come to pass, I would encourage all of you to return to Hogwarts Castle at once for your own safety. I know that leaving your families in such a time is a difficult decision, but my concern must be for your own well-being.

The Hogwarts Express will be making daily trips from Kings Cross Station to Hogsmeade village and will be well-guarded. I strongly encourage you to return as soon as you are able.

Do not come by the train, and do not reveal your receipt of these to anyone. Attached is a portkey that will activate to bring you directly to the Great Hall when it is held in your hand and you speak the Hogwarts Motto clearly.

I would strongly suggest that you return to the castle at once.

I will need volunteers to guard the Hogwarts Express daily as it brings students back to the safety of Hogwarts.
