Dear Mr. Lupin,
My name is Viktor Krum, and I am currently living and working in England.  I have far too much free time on my hands and am currently looking for an organization with which I can occupy my time.  I was hoping that I could meet with you in person to discuss some possible groups.  A dear friend suggested that I speak with you, a student who is not at Hogwarts presently as she is indisposed.

On a side note, I had the chance to meet with the late Headmaster Dumbledore several times while I was at Hogwarts, so many years ago.  He had a most intriguing and rare pet.  Do you know what might have happened to it? I mean, if one were to look for it, where would one start?  Perhaps we can meet to speak about this as well.  

Am I being too vague?  Will he understand my meaning?  Surely he must know that owls are currently being intercepted?  I do not want to put him into any danger by openly asking him about the Order or by mentioning Hermione directly.
