"I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly," Orsino said, giving her a searching look over his beverage.
Penny usually seemed quite direct, even when she was talking about something particularly strange. But now she seemed intent on going off on arithmancy-related tangents that were a bit too vague for Orsino's liking. He had several ideas of what she might be implying, but he wished she would just talk plainly. She seemed uncomfortable again, and it was making him feel likewise.
"Like...that we should," he continued, then paused as though wondering whether he should continue. "Erm. Do it again?"
Well, probably not exactly what she'd meant. Given the way this discussion had gone so far, though, Orsino wasn't at his most articulate.
