Who: Terry Boot and Michael Corner (Anthony can feel free to jump in if he'd like to)
When: Tonight
Where: Ravenclaw Boys Dorm
What: Mike's decided that it's been too long since he's talked to the other boys of Ravenclaw and hunts down at least Terry.
Rating: G? XD
Open/Closed: openish

Mike was done letting Terry hide. Well honestly he was done letting Terry and Anthony be pretty much non-existent both through the journals and after classes. He was honestly starting to feel that he only had interaction with them both was when they were in class or at meals. So he was going to hunt at least one of them down and catch up. It didn't take him long to decide on Terry. After all Terry had been sick recently and hadn't been up for much of anything.

So with that in mind Michael set off. He hit up the library first, sure that he'd be there. He could only blink when he entered and didn't see him at his normal table. He didn't leave immediately though. Terry could be in the stacks through the library, so he searched. He scowled when he'd gotten through them all and didn't find him anywhere. Evidently they'd missed each other because he'd left Ravenclaw and didn't see him. Then again he hadn't checked the dorms.

Back to Ravenclaw he went then, taking in a deep, annoyed breath at seeming to be unable to predict where his friend would be. He smiled and waved at the other Ravenclaws as he came in, calling out his own greetings as he moved through the common room. He wasn't down here, so to the dorms he went. Opening the door to their shared dorm he grinned triumphantly when he saw the wayward boy there.

"Aha! It's about time! I've been looking for you. Well, kinda looking for Anthony too, but I was more focused on finding you. You wouldn't be hiding him up here with you, would you?" He grinned happily at Terry, moving further into the dorm.

Terry had been sick, super sick. His parents had removed his from Hogwarts to get him to a muggle doctor because he had been so sick. Apparently he had a bad case of the flu. It had been a huge dampener in his schoolwork and his social life. And sadly, the illness had progressed and gotten worse, which was weird for the flu. So it eventually turned out that he was hospitalised for about three weeks when it just didn't get better.

He had been in the hospital through most of December and through Christmas, but made it home to New Year's, where he had passed out in his bed after the long haul of being in a muggle hospital. It had been awful. Everything had been a bright white, too sanitary for even clean Terry. It had been an awful dull place to spend Christmas and a lonely one after visiting hours had been over and they even shooed out his parents. Seriously, it had been the worst Christmas ever for the Ravenclaw.

As Michael came in, Terry opened an eye from his bed, where he was laying. Seriously after nearly a month of doing nothing and laying down, you'd think he'd be sick of it already. But the medication he was on made his a little drowsy and he was getting off of it in a few days. Good times, good times. At least a doctor's note from a muggle doctor cleared everything up, along with an owl from his parents explaining just how sick Terry was. As if his prolonged stay in the hospital wing had been any clue.

'Yeah, try a muggle hospital for a month,' he pointed out to Mike. 'And I haven't seen him. How was your Christmas? It had to be better than mine.'

“Ouch,” Michael said with an exaggerated wince as he pulled a chair over next to Terry’s bed and flopped himself on it. He would have flopped himself down on the bed directly, but Terry wasn’t looking 100% yet and so he wasn’t going to test him. He would content himself for now to sitting in the chair, but if he sat up then Mike wasn’t planning on staying on the chair long. He honestly wondered why Hogwarts couldn’t invest in some more comfortable desk chairs.

“My Christmas.” He grinned at Terry, lacing his hands in his lap. “It was good. I went home, obviously, as I’ve yet to have a Christmas here and wasn’t going to start this year. I got harassed by some brats and spent time with Mandy before Christmas, Boxing Day and for the new year. It rather sucked when they tried to call us all back early.”

And that brought up thoughts of his parents and how they’d tried to convince him to stay home. It hadn’t been easy for Michael to tell his mum no considering how much of a mum’s boy he was. It was easier when it was his father requesting it, but still. And then they’d tried to get him to at least try to convince his brother that he didn’t want to go next year and neither of them were happy with him when he wouldn’t do that either. “I do get the feeling that my mum will be getting my dad to help her make a howler to send to me at some point though.”

“But enough about me! Are you saying that you didn’t get to do anything fun for Christmas? Did you spend it all confined in bed? Were you out of the hospital in time for Christmas? I think it’d be rather crappy if you were stuck in there for the whole hols.” He honestly thought it was crap being stuck in there ever, but still. He was just glad that Terry was back and he hoped that he didn’t get sick again anytime soon.

Yeah, it sounded like a lot of people had a better Christmas than him and it had probably just as hard for a lot of kids to come back to the school. A lot of parents hadn't wanted their kids back, his parents were no different, especially with how sick he had been. Terry had begged and pleaded to go back. Sometimes the begging and pleading had taken a lot of of him. How was he to know a muggle illness could be so awful? Really put a dampener on things when he really though about it.

'I wouldn't be surprised if most of Hogwarts got Howlers now,' he remarked. With Dumbledore gone and tons of people going missing or into hiding, it really was no surprise that parents weren't thrilled to send their children back to school. Who knew how safe it was and even back a few years ago, people were starting to doubt the protection of Hogwarts and its students. 'My parents weren't too happy that I came back as well. How many people aren't coming back?'

The sad truth was, Terry just rather not know how many people were remaining home instead of coming to Hogwarts. It was very possible that it was the reason why Anthony hadn't shown up. Then again, it was all possible that their friend just had an illness just like Terry had. If so, that was god awful, even Terry had been stir crazy being in bed all of the time. Even his books were very little comfort to him and he just couldn't focus on his studies. Which for him was an obvious sign of being sick.

'I was in the hospital for Christmas,' he replied. 'My muggle cousins came to see me with my parents and Aunt and Uncle. It was crappy, obviously. They wouldn't let me eat any of my sweets or let anyone stay really. At least I'm better though. A word of advise Mike, never get the flu. Muggle illnesses are awful.'
