"I did feel absolutely horrid about mother and father forcing me to go back to Hogwarts before we had a chance to meet up in Greece." That was the truth, and Daphne just smiled trailing her lips against his defined cheekbone. Daphne couldn't explain it, but she always felt more comfortable around Blaise. Perhaps it was the way their relationship was built. He was the only boy she allowed herself to loosen up around. She didn't care about what he thought about her, because she knew that he practically worshiped her. She didn't censor herself around him, and she most certainly did not have to worry about being hurt by him. Sure, the occasional disagreement occurred, but that was expected between friends, right?
Such a bright smile curled on her lips as Blaise finally spoke an apology. Lips pressed firmly against his own, as she knew that he deserved the best snogging in the world for what he just did. Daphne was a selfish girl, and when she had her heart set on something, she would go to any means to get it. Even if it meant putting another person through a situation they weren't comfortable with - in this case, it meant having Blaise say he was sorry. However, like any good bargainer, Daphne kept up her side of the deal. Fingers slid from the side of his cheek to trace over the collar of his shirt before lacing into his tie and pulling him closer against her.
There was a passion behind that kiss that couldn't be described. Was it desperation? She craved to feel alive, and the only time she could actually feel such powerful emotions was around Blaise. It drove her crazy that this boy could hold such a thing over her head like that, though, Daphne didn't really help her situation. She kept the world at arms length, and she even made sure to keep Blaise at the friendship length. Daphne felt safer at that sort of level, she felt neither of them could be hurt.
The girl was just about to deepen the kiss when an audible CLICK echoed through the common room. The sound was obvious, as the entrance door to the common room slowly inched open. Eyes shot open, as Daphne's lips quickly pulled away from Blaise's. Flashing a glare towards the intruder, a terrified second year just stood there with his jaw slack. Perhaps it was the glare that froze him in place, or the fact that he just walked in on two seventh years snogging, whatever it was he regained his composure, made a pitiful apology for interrupting, and ran up to the dormitories.
Just like that the mood was gone.
Fingers began to unlace from Blaise's tie, her hand running over his collar to straighten it back down from where she grasped it.
"I should... um, go get ready for dinner." She said quietly, looking up apologetically at Blaise.
