"I know you do," he replied seconds later, knowing fully well about Daphne's dislike for animals, even though he didn't exactly now what fueled that sort of feeling for beasts. Blaise just knew that the squid situation did solidify that emotion. As long as she did enjoy the owl that he had given her for a gift, that was all that mattered. It wasn't as though she complied about Marius, so he could only assume that the bird was being quite good. The male had never actually met someone that disliked all sorts of animals. There was always someone that liked an average dog for a pet or house elf, but she didn't seem to like any sort of animal. It wasn't a big deal though. That fact only precured that she wouldn't be an old woman with massive amount of felines crowding around her feet, which would be good for anyone the more that Blaise thought about it.
As the seconds had passed slowly by along with his lips upon Daphne's fair skin, Blaise had an inkling that everything was just fine between them. The words that would be verbally spoken as an apology wouldn't have to come out from his mouth. It always felt good to get his way in a whole lot of different situation. There were times where he thought luck was greatly on his side during some of the outcomes, especially when it came to women and a few needs.
Or at least, that's what the male thought for a short amount of time.
It wasn't too much longer that Blaise felt himself being pushed forcefully away from the female's body, her fingers unlacing from his shirt in a matter of seconds again. The words that came from Daphne's lips made him want to let out an aggrivated, defeated sigh. However, he did managed to keep them within him. Not a sound came from him from that act, at least not yet. A calm sort of expression clouded over his face, while he tilted his head once again and kept his gaze upon her. A part of him wondered if her actions were serious. That was answered almost immediantly as the book appeared open within her lap once again.
Just as quick as the book had opened, Blaise reached over and closed it shut once again. If there was something that he truly couldn't stand it was muggles. Worse so, now his best friend had been reading about them. He couldn't help about the way he felt about non-magical folks, which included muggleborn in his mind. That was how he was taught thoughout his younger years. Whatever Daphne's facination about reading a novel about the animals, he wasn't sure what it was, but it was thoughts he wanted to literally pull out of her mind. "Come on, love. You know I didn't mean to react in that sort of way," he finally spoke, letting a few seconds pass after the book's pages had all touched each other fully once again. Great. Those few words almost sounded as if he were begging. Blaise Zabini never begs. However, he rather let an apology flow from his mouth then show a weakness like begging shine though.
Placing hand on the floor behind Daphne, he proped himself up and leaned over towards the female once again, keeping his gaze upon her. He was almost certain that she wouldn't let things go without an apology. "Don't deny that you found yourself missing me, so don't push me away, love."
