"Animals themselves are vile. I hate animals," Shuddering, she shot Blaise a brief glare as he mentioned the squid incident. That traumatizing, scarring incident left Daphne with a heated vendetta against that creature in the water. Daphne wasn't a big fan of animals in general, she could hardly tolerate the owl her parents got her. At least Marius - the owl Blaise got her - was quiet, and didn't try to bite her whenever she placed a letter on his talons. Animals were just not her forte, and when that squid attacked her, it just justified her bias. Sure, people thought that Daphne instigated that beast, but she didn't, and the fact that a mudblood like Dean Thomas actually believed her spoke levels on the girl. While it was useful to have allies in high places, it also helped to have allies in the lower levels as well. At the time, Daphne didn't think much about Dean helping her out of the clutches of that squid. It did spark a unique interaction between the two, especially since Daphne found some sort of respect for him... and actually enjoyed mocking him - especially since Dean took it all in stride.
Daphne did know that Blaise was not a man of words, however, that did not stop her from needing to hear the actual words come out of his mouth. Feeling his lips against her shoulder, a hand ran down the side of his cheek, and laced into shirt before forcefully pushing him away from her body. "That's not good enough."
Rejection. It was the harshest of realities in the world.
Reaching for her book, she pulled it back into her lap, and opened up to where she was reading before. If Daphne knew Blaise, she knew he wouldn't give up so easily, especially when it came to her. He would also be able to notice that this was all an act to get what she wanted. Call it immature, but Daphne was used to getting what she wanted, and making sure she got exactly that. She wasn't going to let Blaise snog his way out of this one, especially since he left her smoldering with anger for the past few days. She wanted to hear the words right out of his mouth.
S-O-R-R-Y; five simple letters, two syllables. She knew how hard it was for him to admit he was wrong, but Daphne wouldn't be happy until she heard that word, or a variation (that better start with an A and end with a Y or E.) Blue eyes focused on the page spread out on her lap, and just waited to hear him say the word... or do something.
