"Using the word animal would be insulting to actual animals. Creatures has a certain vulgarity to it." Biting her tongue, she glanced down at the book in her hand. Daphne was so torn about how she felt about muggles. They couldn't be as bad as the Ministry was making them out to be, right? Furthermore, why did she care so bloody much about them? Shaking her head, she pushed thoughts about muggles out of her head. She doesn't care. Not a single bit, at all. Muggles should just stick what they know... airplanes, and computers, and whatever other menial devices they created. Wizards and witches should stick to what they know and leave them well enough alone. Too much time and effort was placed into the muggles, that it was actually becoming counter productive. Honestly, the Wizarding World has gotten along perfectly well without meddling in the muggle world, why start now?
A venomous glare was given to Blaise as he plucked the book out of her hands. That's when she noticed exactly how close he was getting towards her. The glare instantly melted away as she felt his lips press against her neck. Eyes instantly flashed, and darted desperately around the common room to make sure no one was spying on them. The last thing she wanted spread around the school was that she was seen snogging someone.
Daphne could never deny that there was some sort of attraction to Blaise. While she was perfectly content with the way their relationship was, it was mainly because Daphne wasn't really girlfriend material. She had a tendency to hold people at arms length, and give them the cold shoulder if she felt they were getting too close. As long as she kept up the facade in her mind that Blaise and her were just friends then she would never push him away. Daphne was a difficult girl to get along with, she wasn't friendly, and she was more content keeping to herself. How she ever made friends in Slytherin was a mystery. While Audrina was a little nicer than her, the two of them could gripe about their housemates without fear of insulting one another. With Blaise? Well, there was always that underlying sexual tension. Daphne knew without a doubt that she was attracted to him, but... again, she knew that the moment she made that move to be closer with him she instantly push him away.
Perhaps the fact that Daphne hadn't made a move towards Blaise was one of the reasons why her parents decided to promise her to Vaisey. After all, they knew more than anyone that Daphne was very good friends with Blaise, and while they would have liked to see her with any good pureblooded male, they noticed that Daphne wasn't with Blaise. They just assumed that Daphne was not interested in him. Of course, that wasn't the only reason. Marrying Daphne off to the Vaisey's united two very powerful names within the Wizarding world.
Giving one more wary glance around the common room, Daphne finally leaned in closer to Blaise. Lips curled into a predatory smirk as those blue eyes rested on Blaise, "You never were a bloke of many words." Lips darted over his very briefly before moving to press against his ear. Brushing against his flesh as she spoke, "Should I take that as an apology?"
