Adrian/Ali
A part of Adrian would always wish that it had gone differently, that she'd told him then instead of now, that he'd not missed that time with their son or the sight of Ali swollen with pregnancy. He wasn't going to hold onto that, though, not when it would impeded his happiness with what was happening now. Whatever his feelings for the past, now things felt as they should be and that was what he wanted to focus on.
He willingly let himself be tugged, giving no thought to the party going on around them as they made their way to her bedroom, kicking the door closed behind them before his hands were in her hair and his lips were pressed once more to hers in a hungry, needy kiss. This was what mattered, this moment and the hope that this time when they woke up it would be different, that she would be happy to wake up in his arms.
