Aud's heart was beating in her ears as Alfie slipped his hand around to the back of her neck. His fingers were too tight and she resisted the urge to wince, sliding her own hand up and gently readjusting his grip. Merlin, what if it was awful? She only had her kisses with Sam to compare it to, what if she hated kissing Alfie?
She scooted closer and ducked her head slightly, moving towards her friend. Trying to ignore her nerves, she misjudged the distance and twisted her head one way when she should've twisted it the other and ended up bumping her nose into his. The little shock of pain faded quickly, but the blush caused by the mismanoeuvre didn't and Audrey froze there, inches from Alfie's lips, her cheeks flaming.
