"Hey," Alfie had thought that Julien was going to hug him. He'd have welcomed that, really. He felt so tense, so shaky, but somehow he thought he'd like to have someone holding him.

He pushed the thought away and came into the room, letting the door shut behind him and then going to the window immediately to open it - just in case an owl needed in.

Then he turned to Julien, and the way he was looking him over it was like he was checking for injuries. "Are you okay?" Somehow seeing him at least took some of the worry out of him.
