Now there was no reason at all to refrain, and he might have looked a little distant, a little dazed, as he smiled at her, maintaining his usual dry edge of a smirk. "I did. Thank you - quite a generous invitation." He smoothed her hair behind her ear with his thumb, looking quite content to stay where he was. "I find I'm no longer hungry, but ... so long as I'm not intruding." He would much, much rather stay.
