At the shout, Verity started and whirled, hand grasping for her wand before she recognised her cousin. "Trevor," she gasped, making her way towards him quickly and gripping his arm, weak with relief. She'd been stupid to come down here, without knowing where she was going, fuelled by anger and the reckless idiocy that came with it.
"Trevor," she said again, and grinned up at him in thanks, as though he'd actually swooped in and saved her from something, rather than just shouting at her.
