Lunch Date
Who: Megan Jones, Viktor Krum
When: Saturday afternoon backdated
Where: Three Broomsticks
What: Viktor and Megan finally meet
Rating: TBD
Open/Closed: Closed

Viktor didn't want to admit he was a little nervous. It seemed silly to be nervous. He met women all the time, this wasn't something new. Perhaps what was throwing him was that he had been talking to Megan now for a couple of weeks so he kind of knew her without having actually met her.

The excitement of the kids helped dull his nerves since he needed to keep them in line as they walked down to the village. Soon the kids had moved off in bunches and he was left to find the pub. Thankfully with the village being so small he soon found himself in front of the pub. Entering he quickly found a booth and sat down. A server game but he wasn't sure it was polite to order until she got there. Instead he got some water to tie him over.

"Da, some fish under dhe right condition can live a long time, just like vizards." Viktor told her with a smile. He had enjoyed his childhood, living in Bulgaria, the cold winters made the hearts warmer at times, not to say there hadn't been fights and hard times. Viktor was pretty certain there were times his sisters wanted to toss him in the pond if it weren't for the wrath of their father.

"Vhat vas your childhood like?"

Megan paused for a moment trying to think of way to explain it. "Loud," she decided on for a start. "We lived on the dairy farm that my mum inherited, so there was always cows and chickens and stuff wandering around. Plus, my dad works with magical animals so...there was a lot of noise." she said thinking this threw. "But for the most part there was always something to do, and it was pretty fun I guess." she shrugged hoping that her perfectly normal childhood wasn't too boring.

"I spent a lot of time out in the back yard playing with my brother, that was kind of nice. I'm glad I'm old enough to appreciate the opportunity to get close to him." she added.

Loud wasn't what Viktor had been expecting but once Megan had explained he nodded in understanding. "And now dhat you don't liff at home, is it still loud?"

When he went home, unless his sisters were home from school it was like a mausoleum and his parents felt the loss deeply. They were hinting for grandchildren already which had spurred him to leave the country.

"It is good to be close to your siblings. I am a lot older than my sisters but they know I care deeply for them. Just don't haff a lot in common vith dhem."

Megan thought about it. "Not so much. It can if my dog or my roommate's dog are feeling particularly active, but usually I just let them into the back yard and that's it." she said shrugging. It was very quiet compared to her parent's house, but total silence had never sat well with Megan. "It's more or less just background noise now." she said happily.

"I can imagine that it might be difficult to find something in common with them. But maybe as they get older you'll find some more stuff." she said hopefully. She felt pretty lucky right now. Rhys was only a year older than she was so it was easy to find things in common with him, plus, she wasn't much of a girly-girl kind of helped as well.

"You haff dogs? Vhat kind?" Viktor had been raised with dogs, big Russian wolf hounds who mostly laid by the fire at nights huffing loudly and lurched during the day. His father would complain they ate too much and didn't pay their keep but the family slept better knowing they were keeping watch at night.

"I hope you are right, for now I remain the kill joy who insists on meeting dhere dates." He told her with a smirk. "It probably shouldn't be so fun." Viktor confessed.

"My dog, Dianna, is a German Shepard, about six months now. And my roommate's got a massive Irish wolf hound. But he's more like teddy bear than a dog." she said only half joking. If someone tried to break into their place she was sure that Connor would just sit there convinced he made a new friend. Oh well he was sweet, and let the other puppy jump all over him.

Megan laughed when he said that. She liked that mentality, reminded her of a lot of guys she knew, and she liked it. "Can I make a confession?" she said with a playful look on her face. "Insisting to meet my brother's dates has remained a constant source of entertainment for me for a very long time."
