Neville paused slightly, frowning at her words as they moved down the steps out onto the sidewalk, "They close that early? Aw, man! That was my big plan, for us to spend some time, doing something we both enjoy," he said as he moved at her side, his arm about her.
They reached a point down the street where the trees were thick at a corner, the spot he'd apparated to and the one they would leave from. He turned to her, holding her tightly, "I guess we can go straight to music and dancing then. Does that work for you?" he said, looking down into her face.
The light from the corner was blocked by the trees, putting her face in some shadows and he felt a flutter of worry, not wanting to disappoint her with the change of plans, "I should have left early," he lamented, as he held her close.
