Raising herself up onto her toes, Audrey gave a little spin. It had been raining for most of the day and she was starting to feel a little cooped up, but it was nothing compared to how she'd have been feeling at home. Remaining on her toes, she hopped and spun, landing gracefully on Alfie's bed. It was great being here, with Alfie and the rest of his family, they were almost more of a family than hers. She knew that was mostly in her head though, it had just been brought about by something Ella, while in one of her snitty moods, had said. Gemma didn't treat her any differently and she was just as much Ella's sister as Anna was. Regardless of logic though, it had been hard to get the girl's accusation out of her head; that she wasn't part of the family just because Gemma wasn't her biological mother.
Shaking her head, Audrey stretched her foot and poked her friend with her toes. "I'm bored," she complained, good-naturedly. She wriggled around until she was hanging half off the bed, observing Alfie's room upside down. "You should entertain me." |
