Alixandr Savage should be mental by now. (savagelaw) wrote in wished,
It had been instilled in him since he was a young lad that he needed to keep his living space clean. Like most people, he’d gone through a stage where he had strewn things around everywhere, but it had bothered him intensely, so he’d kept things straightened up ever since. He didn’t have much clutter, even though he had a lot of things. The room was decorated with a couch, chairs, a rug over hardwood floors, a coffee table, mirrors, pictures...all of your usual things, but he didn’t have a lot of extras beyond the norm. Alix had always been rather frugal, and he was living beyond comfortably. He could go to bed with the sound knowledge that he had more than enough money in the bank to sustain him for a long time. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever consider sharing that with anyone again, but there she was...there was no doubt in his mind that he’d share it with Trish.
He grinned as she pulled him along, not even considering letting go, but pleased that she wasn’t even giving him the choice. Letting her do what she pleased, he felt like he was in a scene from his past. This had probably happened before, at least somewhat, probably more than once...it seemed like he was at least five years younger and so was she, “Comfort is a most important thing,” he commented, waiting for her to pull his arm around her like she used to. He couldn’t help but smirk slightly when she did, just because he’d been right. He shifted just slightly, ensuring that he was holding her closely enough, that she was contented.
Pressing his cheek to her hair, he breathed deeply, taking in the scent of her and relaxing against the cushions of the couch. He could be entirely satisfied in a silence when they were like this, but it had been so long that he felt like he needed to talk to her. He needed to know all that had happened, and she’d mentioned some things that he wanted a bit of clarification on. He was sure that she’d want the same things from him.
“You mentioned a job in Australia...what did you do?” he asked, figuring that was an easy enough question to answer, “How long have you been back?” That was another question that weighed heavily on his mind. Still, his tone was just the same. No matter what her answer was, he would make sure she stayed right there with him. Alix never wanted to let her go.
