Alfie wasn't nearly as quick, and he stopped mid-incantation when Julien slumped back onto the sofa blissfully relaxed. He just stared at him for a minute, concerned and not wanting to touch him in case it would hurt something. But then... he looked happy, so Alfie assumed he was having his daydream and that was how he was supposed to be, so he worried less.
And took the time to really look at him. He'd never seen Julien relaxed, and he was ... well, it was nice. The way his neck arched back like that, and he was smiling and not self-conscious. Alfie licked his lips, scared that he liked that look on Julien so much, and dragged his eyes away when he felt his body start to respond to that.
That wasn't supposed to happen.
He moved a little further away from him on the sofa, and finished his own incantation.
Half an hour later, after an adventure where he was a pirate fighting another pirate and then racing to buried treasure, he came to on the far end of the sofa, where he'd been slumped over the arm.
