WHO: Daphne Greengrass & Nikolas Vaisey
WHAT: Daphne needs to talk to Nik about everything.
WHERE: Random empty classroom.
WHEN: Close to curfew - Monday.
RATING: R - language, definitely, and who knows what else?
The owl came earlier that day, the well anticipated owl telling Daphne if she didn't wed Nikolas that she would be disgracing this family, and while they could not rightfully force her to marry him she had not options least she be written out of her inheritance. It infuriated her that her parents could hold this much control over her even though she was considered an adult. On top of that, she had nasty bruises marring her perfect complexion around her abdomen from the squid. While most of the time Daphne's expressions were hard to read, today she looked exceptionally sour and disgusted. She lost a perfectly good pair of shoes in the lake from the other day, the squid laid claim to her sweater, and her skirt and shirt and tie were ruined. She had to throw them out to prevent herself from vomiting, they were dirty and smelled of.... lake. She certainly hoped things could get better, but with the arrival of that owl from her parents, she was suddenly feeling hopeless. This wasn't supposed to happen to girls like her, she was pretty enough to find a husband for herself. She knew the only reason why her parents agreed to this was because of the benefits that would come from both families uniting. But why did they have to pick Daphne for this?
Informing Nikolas that they needed to meet was a necessity. She needed to know what his parents were thinking of this. Bloody hell, why did it have to be Nikolas Vaisey? The most obscene, and intolerable bloke in the school. He was the epitome of what she did not want in a husband, and yet, irony had to kick her in the ass and do this to her! It wasn't fair! Setting up to meet him at an empty classroom before curfew, Daphne made sure to get there a few minutes early just to make sure the room was actually empty. Owl from her parents was crumpled into a fist, as she decided to wait. Mind began to race with ideas of what to say to him, what does one say to a boy that she is for lack of a better term, being forced to marry? 'Hey, how's the weather? So... we're getting married'?! No, that's bloody stupid, and fuck, she didn't want to marry him in the first place. Why did so many things have to be so difficult?! This was the year where she is was supposed to relax, to take it easy, and enjoy her final year at Hogwarts. Now? Now everything was falling apart, and things were getting more confusing than before.
Leaning back against the edge of a desk, head tilted down, allowing those brown strands to shadow her dull-blue gaze. Staring down at the floor, she tried to calm her mind. Surely, together they could come up with a solution. Still dressed in her uniform, robes were left back in the common room, considering the day was practically over, she would have no need for them. A clean, crisp white shirt hugged her slender frame, sleeves rolled up to her elbows, as the Slytherin crest as sewn neatly upon the front of her shirt as that green and silver tie was straightened and perfectly aligned around her neck. Black skirt hugged her hips, as a pair of white knee highs accented those sinfully long legs. A new pair of shiny patent leather Mary Janes heels completed the ensemble. Any boy would be damn lucky to have a girl like Daphne Greengrass, and she had a feeling the Vaisey's knew that, it was her parents who might not have realized what a catch this girl was. Sure she didn't have the charming personality like her sister, but she wasn't anything bad to look at.
