"You're welcome," Su chirped, barely noticing that her compliment seemed to have momentarily turned Stephen incoherent. Her eyes rested eagerly on the pot of her tea. It had been too long since she'd had a good cup. Usually she just used the little bags she or Anthony picked up at the grocer's. It seemed like a travesty when she really thought about it, but she was too busy most of the time.
"I'm doing well. Really well, even." It wasn't meant to sound boastful, though Su knew she had a tendency to do so anyway. She was just very pleased with how her life was going right now, all said and done. "I sort of just took a break after I sat my N.E.W.T.s, if you can believe that. Did a lot of Muggle things, some waitressing, got my blackbelt..." She trailed off for a moment, and gave a small smirk. It felt odd to talk about herself, suddenly. Maybe the unfamiliar environment.
"But eventually I ended up getting this publicist job for the Weird Sisters, which was sort of a nightmare trying to get set straight for a while. It's been excellent, though. Really exciting. And busy. Do you know how insane musicians are?"
