Megan was pretty excited about taking an extended lunch break today. Granted, it meant that she'd be at work later, but what the heck. She found that she could think better in the silence of the Greenhouse at night, rather then when everyone felt like they needed to bother her for every little thing. Most days she wore it as a badge of honour. That she was good at her job, and that she was friendly enough that people wanted her help. However, then there were days like today where every small question seemed to grate on her.

Yes, a nice long lunch with Hannah was exactly what the Healer ordered. She'd been excited when Hannah said that she was going on a date with Neville, and she was looking forward to hearing about it. She'd been out with friends lately, but a spot outside of a club, pub, or anything else like that was going to be a nice change of pace. Somewhere they could just talk and relax for a bit. Plus, Megan found an adorable little rag doll in her wanderings this past weekend, and thought that Olivia might like it.

She'd taken a seat near a wide window in order to keep an eye out for Hannah. As soon as she saw Hannah she stood up half way and waved to get her attention. "Hannah!" she shouted happily, not noticing some of the odd glances she was getting at the moment.

Hannah couldn't help the super bright smile that was on her face. She sat down and nodded, "I'm starving, so lots of food will be a good thing. I overslept this morning." she said with a slight blush.

"It went really well." she said with a slight blush, "We caught up. He's going to be the head of Gryffindor House and the Herbology Professor at Hogwarts now that Madame Sprout is retiring."

"You're allowed to do that every once in a while." she said nodding as she played with the straw that was in her water glass. "I actually think it's kind of healthy. One, more sleep, and two when you wake up and realize what time it is, you get a mini-cardio work out." she said laughing. "Well, there will be no shortage of food here. Their portions are pretty generous."

"Oh good!" Megan exclaimed. Really, she was happy that things went smoothly. "He is? Holy heck, that's aces." she said as she put both hands now around her glass and started to roll it between her hands softly. "He always seemed to nice. So you think your going to see him again?" she asked.

"Well... yes, we're going to the beach on Sunday when the shop is closed." she said with a small smile. She chewed on her bottom lip with a slight grin, "And he kissed me on the cheek. It was so sweet. Livey really likes him too, even let him hold her inside of like two minutes because he had pretty flowers."

Olivia wasn't always very open with other people, especially people she didn't know so it would probably be surprising that she let anyone other then Megan, Hannah, or Grampie hold her.

"That sounds lovely, weather should be nice." she said off handily, as she tried to remember exactly what the paper had said that morning about the weekly forecast. However, it didn't seem that important so she gave up for the moment. "He did?" Megan replied as she leaned in a little closer. Hannah was a such a lovely person, one of her oldest friends, and to see her happy, smiling face again meant a lot to Megan. She knew that last bit had been rough on her friend, which is why she was determined to keep encouraging this sort of behaviour.

"That's an added bonus if the little munchkin likes him too." she nodded as she remembered the doll stuffed away in her massive purse. "Speaking of her..." she dug around for a moment before pulling the doll out. "I thought she might like this. I saw it this weekend and I couldn't resist." she handed the doll over to Hannah.

It was hard on Hannah because she still harbored so much guilt about Marcus' death. She nodded in confirmation that he had kissed her. It wasn't always easy, but she was happy that she'd spent such a great time with Neville, they had talked late into the night, which was why she had slept in and been a little late to work. She looked at the sweet little doll and smiled, taking it from her friend and tracing the hair lightly, "You should come over and give it to her yourself. You know she loves to see you." Hannah said with a smile to her friend, "Though you maybe should save it for her birthday. We're going to have a party at the beach, Neville and I. Not on Sunday, but probably next weekend as a late celebration of his birthday and her birthday and we're going to invite everyone from the old days.... to catch up. It isn't like Olivia has a lot of little friends her own age and it's about time that everyone meets her."

Megan chuckled. "I would love to see her. I feel bad that it's been a while." she admitted. Megan was no where near ready for children of her own, so she reveled in the playing the surrogate aunt of sorts right now. "Actually, I've got a better idea for her birthday present. I just have to go pick it up." she said with a sly look on her face. "Don't worry, it doesn't light up and make loud obnoxious noises." she joked. She'd often tease Hannah about getting Olivia those kinds of toys, but Megan never followed through because she knew it'd drive Hannah up the wall.

"That sounds like a brill." she started feeling an excitement of the possibility of seeing some old friends. Megan was a social creature who thrived around friends. "Is there anything I can do to help set it up?" she asked without hesitating.

	"Well I was thinking of doing typical beach fare, just burgers and dogs and cake. Do you think we need anymore then that?" she asked, resting her chin on her hand, thinking about it for a moment, "I'm buying Olivia her very first big girl doll house." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Megan shook her head. "I don't think so. If people want crips, or pasta salad or anything I think they can bring it. Oh! That's what I can bring." she said thinking that she'd been dying to make a pasta salad since summer started.

"Hannah, that's lovely. I'm sure she'll love it. Plus, it's a quite toy so it'll give you some peace, yeah?" she said with a smile planted firmly on her face.

"They've got those little fake ones to put in doll houses, maybe you could get a few of those, and combine both?" Megan suggested. She had no idea when it came to this stuff, actually, what she was going to get Olivia had been her mother's idea in the first place.

"No, not at all. I think it's a perfect excuse to see everyone again." she said honestly. "It's been a while since we've all been able to get together. So why not for something fun like this?" she said in a reassuring tone.

	"That's an idea." she said, thinking about that. She loved Olivia and didn't want to spoil her, but she knew that it was hard when she was an only child. She gave her friend a smile, "You know how I used to crush on Neville, right? Well let me just tell you, he's gotten better with age." she chuckled, blushing slightly, "He's so adorable."
