When he thought about it Mike could see where there had been hints dropped by Pansy. He really didn't know how he'd missed them all. He hadn't thought he was so oblivious, but obviously he was. He wondered if there were other hints he'd missed. Well, the not more subtle ones. Sometimes Pansy's hints weren't hints at all and more liked dropped comments with veiled threats if they weren't followed through.
And now he watched as she huffed around the flat, picking up various things and moving them before settling down to flick through a magazine. He could feel her upset from here, but he didn't want to say anything. He'd rather leave her to find what he'd left for her on her own. He tried to make himself busy in the kitchen and as if he wasn't honestly watching everything that she was doing.
It took a lot to not run to the bedroom when she went so that he could see her reaction. He was very interested in what she thought of the necklace. He rather liked getting her rubies despite knowing she liked diamonds. This time though he'd managed to get both. He had absolutely no plans on telling her about all the odd little jobs he'd picked up in the muggle world to be able to afford it without dipping into their money.
What he couldn't ignore though was when Pansy came into the kitchen and kissed his cheek. A small grin made it's way to his face before he chanced a look at her. "So, found the gift then?"
