Kirley’s mind spiraled down the drain when she started being all flirtatious. He was having trouble keeping himself relaxed and smooth anymore. She was bloody well pressing her leg against his and smiling that smile...this was not good. His mind wasn’t coming up with very many witty things to say at that moment, “Long and happy, eh? Careful about your climate though, don’t want your date to melt on you,” That was appropriate enough, wasn’t it?
He nodded a bit, relieved when she said that Rolf was just her best friend, nothing more. He really didn’t want to get himself into a situation where he was the bad guy for any reason, “The Sisters are my closest friends. I don’t know what I’d do without them either...no matter how often I would really just like to strangle them,” He had been feeling that a lot lately, but still...he’d never actually want to lose any of them as his friend. Not even Heath.
This time, he was able to handle that little gesture with a bit more finesse. It didn’t stramble his brains quite so much, so he pressed softly back, “Seems like you two are getting quite serious,” he took another bite of the ice cream, and gave a grin, sounding appreciative. He could get used to this, this wasn’t intimidating to him...it was the most at ease on a “date” that he’d been in...perhaps ever.
