Taking her arm gingerly, Bill began walking again.
"Just go slow with me," he said. "And he most certainly won't be coming here again anytime soon. If what I remember of that night is true, you gave him a run for his money."
They reached the house and Bill pushed the door open gently.
"The lot of them should be asleep, I think," he whispered, glancing over his shoulder towards the night sky where the moon loomed high above. "I'm tired but I need a shower something terrible."
Moving as quietly as he could down the hall to their room, he flipped on the light and heaved a sigh of relief at the sight of their bed.
