Who: Katie Bell and Marcus Fint
When: 7th of April
Where: Diagon Alley
What: Random meeting, will include a fight and insults and Quidditch.
Rating: PG-13?

Marcus wandered down Diagon Alley on his way home after purchasing a few things he would need for a healing potion, which he was brewing later. He shifted the bag he was carrying on his shoulder and buried his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket; he was wearing it open thanks to the mild weather today.

Training was going to be more enjoyable without the icy wind and the snow, but who was Marcus to complain? well, he wouldn't complain as long as he got to play. Back at Hogwarts he hadn't cared about any sort of weather and he had been relentless with practice. The team had practiced in any kind of weather and Marcus had often done some extra hours on his own. It had been the only way to become a professional player after graduation and it had worked, which for Marcus simply meant the sore muscles and bad grades because of it had been worth it.

Marcus smiled a little, his thoughts had drifted towards that topic again. The smile faded though, as soon as his eyes fell on an all too familiar girl; that stupid Gryffindor Chaser. (Why would he remember her name?)What he did remember though, was the fact that she had been a frequent target of his fouls, even though he didnt know why.

He didn't expect her to notice him, or at least he didn't think she'd try to talk to him so marcus made no attempt to change the side of the street to avoid her. Marcus simply, as he always did with everyone, planned to blantantly ignore her.

Marcus had to grin. Some things just never changed; like the bad mood between Snakes and Lions, especially if they were both on their respective House's Quidditch team. Marcus for one was pretty reckless with rivals. There were some he respected, because they were good players but Wood's team at Hogwarts...Marcus just had a certain, very deep seated hate for them he couldn't really describe.

Marcus shook his head. "I guess I could find someone, if it hurts your fragile feelings." Why did those Gryffindors have to be so whiny? With the exception of Wood maybe, but even he was too soft for Marcus' taste. Did they think they were the only ones with problems? They honestly couldn't be THAT stupid, could they?
He had to admit they might be in more danger than he was, yet they deserved it. Mingling with mud bloods and muggles, it just had to end bad. If things kept evolving like this they'd get what they deserved.

"I heard you surpassed yourself and actually managed to become a reserve player..." Marcus asked with a grin. He had made it right onto the team after school and he was damn proud of it.

Katie thought the bad mood between their houses had been rightly earned, especially by him. He'd fouled her more times than she could count when they'd played against one another then and she was sure that wouldn't have changed if they found themselves matched up as professionals. Somehow, she doubted that Flint had matured in the slightest.

That thought was confirmed when he opened his mouth to speak. "Hurts my feelings?" she laughed. "No, it just annoyed me. Don't presume you have any affect whatsoever of my feelings, Flint."

Was he joking? His existence irritated her. Running into him right now irritated her. Nothing in him was capable of hurting her, though.

She rolled her eyes at the reserve comment. She didn't mind being on the reserves. Ange had a year on her, so she hadn't been surprised when her friend was first string with her on the bench most of the time and it was better than not being on a team.

"I see you're still the same asshole you were in school," she returned.

Marcus had changed, quite a lot, after joining the Falcons. Of course he still fouled, but he found that professional games were hard and entertaining enough without fouling. He just felt comfortable and familiar with the team, like he had never done at Hogwarts. Sure, the team had been great, but this was bigger than anything in Hogwarts could ever be.

"It annoys you? well maybe it'll teach you to watch where you go." Now she was bitching at him because she was too dumb to walk? Brilliant, a total Gryffindor thing to do.

It was too bad she was a girl, had it been some Gryffindor boy acting like that, Marcus would have just given him a nice beating and had been on his way. Just that Marcus didn't hit girls, he just didn't do it. Despite popular believe Marcus had been raised properly and had been taught manners. The only exception to this was when he was on the pitch playing. He didn't care whether it was a boy or a girl he fouled. Quidditch was dangerous like that.

"Should that impress me now, or what?" Like he cared about her opinion, but she probably thought he would.

Katie just rolled her eyes. His existence annoyed her. Couldn't he just go away?

"Should I care if it does or not?" she retorted. Why in Merlin's name would she want to impress Marcus Flint? She couldn't care less what he thought. "Only someone with your ego would make that assumption."
