Who: Dean and Seamus
What: Seamus is still in pain and for some reason wants his BFF4Lyfe to give him a back rub.
Where: 7th year Gryffindor boys dorm
When: Last night
Rating/Warning: TBA, but there will probably be language and possibly flirting if our boys allow it?

Seamus really wasn't sure why he wanted a backrub. He hurt so much that he really, REALLY didn't want anyone touching him. And he probably had a very subtle five o'clock shadow and his hair was all sticking up and pretty much looked like a giant mess that he really didn't want anyone looking at him either.

He attempted to eat the food that Ginny brought up to him, but he could only get the pumpkin juice down without his stomach cramping up. Saying that he was beyond hungry was an understatement, but his body was still so tense and sore that he just didn't have the energy.

Maybe that's why he wanted the backrub. Seamus hoped that asking Dean didn't make him a ponce, but there was something comforting about his best friend being there that he didn't really want anyone else trying to help him.

Seamus still had a small bit of pain potion left, so he swallowed it down, then laid his head down on his pillow and closed his eyes. On his stomach, because his arse hurt more than anything. Sprouting tails hurt more than he imagined.

Dean knew why Seamus was sore. He didn't ask for details, since his friend had confessed what they were doing, but he was aware of when the sessions were, and that they took a toll. He even thought he'd sussed out a couple of who the others learning were, by how they looked wiped on he same days, sometimes.

So when Seamus asked, he hadn't put up much of a fuss. Dean did actually have pretty good hands. He was usually drafted for a shoulder massage when he was at home, if his step dad or mom had a long day at work.

He'd been in the library for a bit, going over some notes for class, and made his way upstairs, letting himself into the dorm and shutting the door behind him, looking over at Seamus and lifting his eyebrows. "Are you awake, Finnigan?" he asked, quiet enough that he wouldn't wake him if Seamus was out.

"Mmmhmm," he groaned, rolling onto his side so he could at least see Dean's legs, because his head was so heavy that he was almost afraid to lift it.

"So what am I going to owe you for this?" he asked, knowing that there was probably going to be some type of ridiculous payment for doing this for him. "I'll wash your clothes if I need to, except your socks. Your feet stink after Quidditch," he said to Dean, giving him half a smile.

"Lazy," Dean accused. He smiled though, rolling his eyes. "So what, you'll give them to the elves yourself? No deal, Finnigan, I'll think of something."

Dean cracked his knuckles loudly, and then walked over to drop down, swatting lightly at Seamus' arse. "And they do not stink. Twat."

He turned a little, one knee bent up onto the bed, the other foot still on the floor, eying Seamus and trying to figure out the best angle to do this from. He scooted back a little further, finally. "Alright, so tell me if I'm actually helping," he told Seamus, leaning over to rub at his shoulders carefully, since that's what he knew best. He might as well start there.

Seamus jumped in the air a bit when he felt Dean swat at him. No matter how hard (or not) hard it was, hit arse was still sore and he definitely felt it. "Ow! Prat."

He rolled back over onto his stomach and put his arms down to his side, burrying his face into his pillow. At first, Dean's hands really weren't helping. His entire body felt like a giant knot and he groaned into the pillow for a moment. But as he went on, it slowly started to feel like some of the knots in his shoulders were working themselves out.

"Aye...not bad," he mumbled.

Dean made a vague sort of apologetic sound that was probably not all that convincing. He didn't know about the tail specifically, or he might have avoided that area. Possibly.

Dean could feel the tension, after a few moments, and started figuring out how to rub at the little knotted muscles under his fingers.

Dean rolled his own shoulder, feeling the awkward stretch from leaning and grunted, turning to kneel on the bed instead so it was easier to lean over Seamus. "Tell me I'm the most brilliant mate ever," he ordered, fingers working a little lower on Seamus' shoulders, carefully.

The groans from the pain started to turn into groans of relief as he felt Dean's fingers working away at the knots that ran all over his back.

Seamus turned his head on the pillow so he wasn't talking into the down. "You're the most brilliant mate ever," he said in an almost dry, but completely serious tone. There was one specific knot, just below his shoulder blade, that Dean had just hit, which made Seamus groan loudly. "Bloody fucking hell." It was almost a happy groan as he felt the pain start to go away under his right arm.

Dean wasn't quite sure which groans were the good kind, and which were the happier kinds, so he stopped now and then, making sure. But he got into a kind of rhythm after a while, edging over shoulder blades and then below, working toward the small of Seamus' back. It was a bit weird, really, but after a while, it was kind of strangely enjoyable, feeling the knots of tension start to give way under his fingertips.

"Damn right," he agreed. The last groan made Dean pause, a little uncomfortable without quite knowing why. "Too much?" he asked, pressure easing and hands stilling again. "What'd they do, anyway? Drop you off a building to make you learn how to be something that flies?"

Seamus sort of shook his head, since the angle it was lying at the moment made it hard for him to move. "No you're fine. There was a huge knot under my shoulder that you just got."

He chuckled at the thought of that, McGonagall dropping them off the Astronomy tower or some shite saying "here! Fly!" "No, no building tossing. We started changing the other night though. Made my whole body sore in ways that I never thought were possible. I'm not as bad now as I was when we finished, but my body is still screaming a bit."

"Right. I could feel it, just wanted to make sure I wasn't accidentally torturing you or something." Dean resumed massaging, hands drifting lower. The oddity of rubbing his best friend's back was starting to fade, and i was just turning into a project - trying to hunt out the little knots of tension and ease them. Dean was getting better at it as he was going along.

Dean looked curious. "Yeah? So did you change at all? I mean, do you know what you're going to be? Or have a good guess? you're not a roach or a beetle, righ?"

"It felt pretty much amazing. Keep aiming for that," he told Dean, then wheeled his neck around to crack it a bit.

Granted, it was a weird feeling at first knowing that it was a bloke rubbing and kneeding at his back. But the more Dean managed to work out some of the knots, the less he cared who hands were doing the work.

Seamus nodded his head a bit then turned it to the side on his pillow so he could be heard. "I grew half a tail, and a snout, I think. I guess our forms are supposed to be similar to our Patronus forms. Mine is a fox, so I guess it'll be that. What type, I don't know." He was pretty sure that his snout was whiteish. He made a mental note that, when he was feeling better, to go to the library and look up different types of foxes.

"All right," Dean answered. He stopped, rolling a crick in his shoulder away and eyed Seamus. "All right. Don't move or freak out, but I'm going to pop out a shoulder doing it like this." He moved hen, straddling Seamus' thighs so he could just lean over him. Which was an easier angle to work from, and reach both sides, but upped the weird factor a bit. He was flushing a bit, and could feel the heat of it in his cheeks, even if he didn't show it with his complexion, and Seamus couldn't see him now anyway.

"Cute. Bit misleading though. I mean foxes are supposed to be clever, right? You sure you're not. . . one of those dim sorts of dogs?" he teased. Dean supposed that'd mean he was a bull or something like that. Since his patronus was one. He doubted he'd ever see for sure though.

Once Seamus felt Dean straddle over his legs, he had to burry his face into his pillow. Partly because he was blushing as well, but partly because he had to keep himself from laughing over the situation. It made him completely forget that Dean was going to pop his shoulder.

"Aye, I can be clever sometimes, thank you. I don't know it could be a dog, but I'm just going by what we were taught. It's too soon to know right now."

And then he remembered about the shoulder popping. Taking a deep breath, he muttered "go ahead" then bit into his pillow to muffle any screams, be it from pain or reflief.

Dean could see the blush on the back of Seamus' neck, and he laughed a little, shaking his head. He chose not to comment on it for once though, since he wasn't any better off, even if it wasn't as easy to tell. He did give Seamus' shoulder a pop though, carefully. "Maybe I should just learn how to do this properly after school. Probably make loads of cash." Or not. It wasn't the kind of pop you gave to a dislocated shoulder, just a little crack of joints.

He also refrained from a joke about happy endings or the like.

He worked his hands lower, having an easier time from this angle, but keeping his hands carefully above ass-level. "Not that clever. But I suppose. I think I'd like the dog better - then I could throw a stick for you."
