The twins were really rubbing off on him, when it came to his sense of humour, but he had always been that playful when it came to Lucy. They might have not shared blood, but they were as close as siblings in all ways that truly mattered.
Once he had let Lucy go, he glanced over to Nikolas and considered how to approach him. Based on looks alone, Roger could only accuse him of being well dressed. He had yet to make an impression on Roger one way or the other yet, so he offered a hand. "All good things, I hope?" The slightest hint of steel was in his voice, but he was genuinely trying to play nice for the moment. "She's told me quite a lot about you as well." Well, mostly nice. The memory of finding out about his arranged marriage to Daphne was quite memorable and it hadn't left a good impression on Roger.
Turning over to glance at Lucy, he suggested, "Let's head inside and talk. I could go for a drink."
