There didn't feel like a single thing existed in the world that Quentin could complain about. He could practically feel the power coursing through his veins now, but he knew he needed to be careful. Despite knowing that he technically had nothing to hide, Peter finding out before he was ready was important. He needed to think it over, then again, he wasn't sure how Peter would react. He wasn't sure it mattered. Peter was better to have on his side, naturally, but now, if it came down to it, he certainly had a lot more power in his arsenal.
Of course, in being careful, he was even more painfully aware of the way Peter was often around. At first, he could've passed off a glimpse of the boy as coincidence, but it was happening enough that Quentin was sure he was actively following him, at least part of the time. It was a shame almost, how easily he'd caught on. He could've offered plenty of pointers. He was so much better at it than Peter. He'd followed him all around Europe, watching, waiting, making sure he had the information he needed. It was almost comical the way Peter was following him now.
He was stepping down the hall, papers of his new class list in hand as he wandered back towards his room. He'd seen Peter's name and whether or not the boy had gotten his class assignments yet, he wasn't sure. As he paused outside the room, he turned, looking back for a moment. He could've just let it go, Peter would've probably wandered off for a bit, or maybe not. Maybe he'd have hung around, like Quentin was going to do something suspicious at his desk or something. "Can I help you, Peter?" He asked, voice calm, friendly, as much as he could muster as he looked back.
