Sometimes felt like a gross underestimation to Izzy, who was often there to bear witness to Tai's reckless behavior that significantly increased when they ended up in the Digital World. Izzy swore it would give him a heart condition or permanent anxiety yet. Despite that, he remained there making sure that Tai's recklessness didn't turn to something lethal and his brain failed to register the immediate danger to kick in self preservation.
"Yes, well, while that is important I would have preferred not to dive out a window to accomplish it," he sighed again, all sense of that previous spark of his exasperation deflating all at once. Perhaps he was erring on the side of touchy here, which he didn't think to be a problem at all considering the circumstances in play. "I'm glad you had such faith in me, Tai," and the trace of a smirk pulling at his lips said he didn't really have a doubt himself... only because he was right there.
It wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for the two to be in close proximity, though having Tai sprawled out in his lap in this manner made Izzy uneasy, but not uncomfortable. It was very odd, but would likely have still been the case were Tai to be male in that moment, considering he'd had a panic over how he felt for Tai long before having him dropped into his lap just now.
"Yeah, but it's me! The last person on the planet who is about to judge you for much of anything," he returned pointedly, ignoring the lingering sensation of where Tai patted his chest a moment prior. He rolled his eyes a little at Tai's dramatics - and the incredulous look his way at Izzy's offered help. "You don't have to hide from me of all people, Tai." He said more softly, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck with another suffering sigh. This was bound to be an interesting week ahead of them...
Letting Tai's hand fall from his, Izzy turned abruptly to go over to his desk with another clearing of his throat along the way. "Forgive me, Tai. It's... different," the exasperation was back, clear in his tone as he opened his computer, busying himself with clicking away at the keys for no specific reason besides to have a reason not to look at Tai. "The problem has effected many aside from you. Though with each time something of this manner occurs, I have to wonder why it only has an effect on a percentage of the population instead of as a whole. I would think selecting specific, but still random targets among a population would be difficult with something with as subjective as the rules which govern magic, even on a theoretical scale..."
This was obviously about to launch into a scientific discussion - er, more like a lecture, as it was sure to be one-sided - even as Izzy was blushing red as a tomato. Speaking of tomatoes, a snack sounded great about then! Tentomon exchanged looks with Augumon - as expressive as the bug Digimon could be, anyway - and threw his arms up. "Izzy! You almost forgot this!" Tentomon buzzed to the hallway where he retrieved Izzy's backpack, which was packed with clothing obtained by Izzy for Tai considering his... current situation. And Izzy's tea, of course. Izzy couldn't get by without his tea! Dropping it beside Izzy, he returned to his fellow Digimon. "While you're sorting that out, why don't we head over to the kitchen and prepare a snack? That sounds like a plan!"
It was a difficult task to assist Izzy with emotional coping when the two involved parties were: on one side, painfully oblivious, and on the other entirely convinced they were overshadowed by someone else. Now he was just a Digimon, but he knew his partner. They watched them grow from being so small to the near adults they were now and it felt like his duty to prepare Izzy for the life ahead of him! If he always held back on his feelings, whatever they might be, someday he was sure to have regrets and Tentomon didn't want that for him.
